HOT! Summer Tours hitting Vegas

Summer is right around the corner and that means one thing…awesome summer tours will be hitting Vegas on an almost daily basis! In no time, stages will be built, pools will be packed and thousands of eager music fans will invade every corner of our great city, hoping to catch a glimpse of their favorite acts. If you’re like me, one of the biggest reasons for calling Las Vegas my home is the non-stop avalanche of well known and upcoming bands hitting our stages all year long. Yet, the summer is truly a special time for Vegas music fanatics, as every type of genre pays our city a visit. What’s better than filling your summer calendar with wall-to-wall musical escapades? So here you have it! We all know that dozens of new, un-announced shows will be added throughout the next few scorching months, but here is what we know as of now. Grab a piece of paper and a pen, cuz you’re gonna want to write this down!

JUNE
It’s that time of a year again, as the annual KOMP 92.3 Kegger invades the M Resort on Saturday, June 11^th. Hitting the stage this time around: Vegas’ very own ADELITAS WAY, along with hard rockers COLD and Linda Perry’s new group DEEP DARK ROBOT. As always, you have to win tix to this exclusive show…so get dialing! If luck is not on your side, you still have amazing choices for June 11^th, as the DEFTONES rattle the Joint and Vegas locals EYES LIKE DIAMONDS celebrate the release of their new album ‘Frequencies’ at the new Area 170 venue.

On Monday June 13, the HORROR NIGHTS TOUR descends upon The Sanctuary. A jam packed bill featuring AIDEN, EYES SET TO KILL, GET SCARED, VAMPIRES EVERYWHERE! & DR. ACULA.

For a more psychedelic experience, you might want to check out THE FLAMING LIPS, who will surely put on electrifying performance at The Cosmopolitan Pool on Friday, June 17^th.

Looking for something new? Then get yourself over to The Hard Rock Café on the Strip Friday, June 17 for what’s sure to be the talk of the town. Dub Step master SKRILLEX is set to blow the roof of the place with his hardcore electro beats and earth shaking bass.

When you’re done recovering, make your way to The House Of Blues for the return of our very own PANIC AT THE DISCO, who are sure to pack the house on Saturday, June 18.

Possibly the most eagerly awaited show of the summer, MOTLEY CRUE & POISON break in the new Red Rock Amphitheater with a show that will likely go down in history. The date is Saturday, June 18^th…the time is 7pm…be there!

In a move that might change everything when it comes to all day festivals in Vegas, the ELECTRIC DAISY CARNIVAL will takeover the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on June 24, 25 & 26. A massive festival, traditionally held in L.A., EDC will now make Vegas it’s home with 3 midnight to dawn days of the world’s biggest names in electronic music. Truly an insomniac’s dream! If techno isn’t your thing, the RUSH wants you at their show, which will take place Friday, June 24 at the MGM.

More choices as the night of Saturday, June 25^th brings 3 very distinctive styles to the stage. Hit the House Of Blues for TAKING BACK SUNDAY & THURSDAY or maybe brave the crowds for BRITNEY SPEARS at the MGM or go back in time a bit for the return of Seattle’s CANDLEBOX at Silverton Lodge.

June comes to a close with the mighty return of the VANS WARPED TOUR, taking place in the Plaza Hotel Parking Lot of all places! Two words: sunscreen and water.

JULY
Punk rock royalty, FACE TO FACE will work the crowds into a frenzy when they play the House Of Blues on Saturday, July 2. If bow hunting is more your style, then Sunset Station is the place to be, as everyone’s favorite uncle TED NUGENT demolishes the stage with his brand of classic rock.

Who says Summerlin can’t rock too? The pool might get a little dirty when PUDDLE OF MUDD rocks the crowd on Friday, July 8^th at the Red Rock. Need more metal in your life? UNEARTH hears you and will melt your face off when they bury the Hard Rock Café on the Strip the same night.

The Nu-pop sounds of NEON TREES will turn their fans into “animals” when they play under the stars at the Red Rock pool on Friday, July 15^th.

If a week of rest is needed, the wait until Friday, July 22^nd for ALKALINE TRIO’s triumphant return to Las Vegas. They will play the Hard Rock Café on the Strip for the very first time, in support of new album ‘Damnesia’.

July goes out in style when the mighty QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE devour the skyline on Saturday, July 23^rd. The Cosmopolitan Pool will see a sell out crowd worshiping at the feet of Josh Homme & Co. on that fiery summer night.

AUGUST

　
Nerd rockers unite(myself included) as WEEZER returns to Vegas for the 3^rd time in less than a year; this time playing the Red Rock Pool on Friday, August 5^th.

Modern rock darlings DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE play a special show atop the Cosmopolitan on Saturday, August 20^th. Word on the street is that they play a heck of a live show.

Sunday, August 21^st? Hmmm….what to do? I command you to attend the 2^nd edition of the VEGAS ROCKS! MUSIC AWARDS!!! This will be THE party of the year….tasty details coming soon!!

The younger crowd will fill the streets of Fremont as Rock The Block presents the ALL STARS TOUR. The line up of ALESANA, EMMURE, IN THIS MOMENT, BLESSTHEFALL, SLEEPING WITH SIRENS & MEMPHIS MAY FIRE will try their hardest to crack the scorching pavement as August comes to a close.

SEPTEMBER
Saturday, September 3^rd finds KINGS OF LEON bringing their southern charm to the Mandalay Bay Events Center.

The dog days of summer can’t stop DEF LEPPARD & HEART from owning the MGM on Sunday, September 4^th. These 2 bands have never gone out of style and always pack the house with their stellar performances.

COLLECTIVE SOUL makes their annual appearance at the Hard Rock Pool on Saturday, September 10^th. These guys never fail to put on an awesome show…how can you go wrong with 3 guitarists!?

Friday, September 16^th will be poptastic for fans of KE$HA & LMFAO, as they visit Planet Hollywood for a fun-filled exercise in party rock jams.

Summer goes down in a pile of ruble when MISS MAY I return to the Hard Rock Café on the Strip on Thursday, September 29^th. Their brand of thrash metal is brutal and their live show is unbelievable.
